Stanray cut levers - first pass
I have been wanting to do this style of coupler cut levers for a while now and even had an idea on how to design them. Recently had the
need to give the idea a try so I put these ideas on film. Now that I have samples back I can see how my ideas worked out. Some of it
turned out well and some of it needs some tweaking. And they may be too much work. These are truly adjustable. They are made from three
pieces and use folded tabs to hold them together. Comparing my samples to this
photo by David Olsen I can see that I missed the way the tabs are mounted. How many versions/styles of Stanray cut levers are there?
The mounting bracket I used is a two piece bracket but plan to try to make it a one piece to simplify things. And the one in the photo is
different so that has me wondering how many different brackets there are. Might look into doing a fret with several different styles of
brackets on it. Sorry for the quality of the photos. Hopefully you can get an idea of how the bars are assembled.
Maybe I should just simplify things and make them a one piece rigid bar. Do we really need an adjustable bar? The only purpose of that would
be so hopefully one bar could be used with any sized cushioned pocket.
But, I just had to try it...
So what do you think???
Thanks for looking!
