SP SD45 Tunnel motor 'elephant ears'. These brass shrouds are meant to represent the tunnel motor shrouds the SP
used on there SD45s. For more prototype information on the shrouds, I will point you to the experts pages.
Please note: these will not fit on the Athearn/RPP SD45 shells. The shape of their DB is different than the Kato and Proto2000.

Stainless steel smoke deflectors are included with the the shrouds kits or available seperately. These smoke deflectors can
also be used on other models, such as the FP45s.

CNW and DT&I Gong bell Nose plates. Adding those gong bells to the front of the CNW or DT&I diesels has always
been one of those tasks that always gave me trouble. As the number of models needing these bells grew, a easier
method was researched and found. These new plates just fold up with sides, bottom and a top cap and slide into
an opening you make in the nose with the aid of a included template. There are three nose plates per package.
Gong bells are not included but any of the commercially available bells will fit.

Some of the early EMD GP and SD units with rounded cab roofs had Antenna Ground
Planes mounted over the number board housings. The Santa Fe and Southern Pacific are
two roads that come to mind when one thinks of who used them. We have two variations
of these available made from stainless steel. One is a solid, rounded front and straight
back edge. The other one has a rounded front and square cutout where a antenna and
it's base would be mounted. Each package contains four of the same ground plane in it.
A drilling template is also include to aid the mounting process.

Lift Rings and Lift Plates
Etched liftrings? Yup, four different sizes are available. These are not just some flat rings you are supposed to imagine as being round rings.
While these rings are not the 'round' rings of the prototype, once installed and painted they will appear round. And no where not talking about
the eyelet/hole being round. We are talking about the round rod that forms the ring. Our rings have halves that are folded together to give them
thickness. But each half has two levels of etch. So, once folded together, you have three levels of etch. And once painted, the paint fills
in the edges leaving a round liftring. Four different sizes are available to cover most sizes used on EMD diesels. Each package contains 48
lift rings.
Here are a few applications for the different sizes of rings on EMD units.
3 3/8 X 1 3/4 - DB hatches and side of long hood end
2 3/4 X 1 1/2 - Radiator hatch
2 3/8 X 1 3/8 - Inertial filter hatch and exhaust hatch
Model ship builders have also found these useful for different rigging eye bolts

First generation EMD SD units had lift lugs on the sides of the long hood in front of or to the rear of the intake screens.
Some of these were just regular lift rings, while some of these units, mostly later units, had a larger plate with a hole in them
attached to the side of the units. We have these lift plates available made out of phosphorus bronze. There are six
per package and two of them have a flag holder bracket etched on them.

Hatch Plates #180, #185, #187 and #188. The fifth kit contains two individual brackets for those specialized projects.

EMD F7 Grilles information
Not sure where else to put this but, We have been getting requests from modelers looking for our HO scale F7, F9 and FP7 grilles. Well, we have no plans to do
any F unit grilles in HO. One grille does not fil all. Too many models being made to try cover them all or figure out which ones to cover. And there are several
other grilles already out there. We feel it best we use that time to develop a few other projects that are not already available. Thank you for your understanding!
